Grant Requests

Council District 4 is currently considering requests for grants of up to $5,000 from our discretionary fund allotment, commonly referred to as AB1290 funds. CD4’s AB1290 funds have been able to fund projects beautifying the city, serving the needs of the community, and bettering the lives of CD4 residents and all Angelenos. We’re proud to be able to invest in our community and fund projects our residents are passionate about.

To apply for funding, please fill out the form linked below as completely and accurately as possibleWe’ll do our best to respond to all applications within a month of their receipt.

AB1290 funds have a number of restrictions attached to their use according to the rules of the Los Angeles Controller’s office.

Applicants that will be given priority consideration of grant will:

  • Be a non-profit organization/of 501c status.
  • Hold a BTRC number (you can find out more about what a BTRC is and how to obtain one here).
  • Be based in, or have a strong connection to, Council District 4.
  • Be requesting $5,000 or less.

Most allocations are processed as a reimbursement after the funds have already been spent by the receiving organization. Let us know on your application if this wouldn’t be possible in your case.

If you have a request related to an event, including renting event equipment or paying street closure fees to the Bureau of Street Services, please reach out to our office directly at contactCD4@lacity.org, and include your BSS Special Event reference number.
