Gregory Randolph is a researcher, writer, and policy specialist focused on issues of labor, economic development, and urbanization. He is passionate about building resilient local economies that serve the wellbeing of communities — around the world and especially in his adoptive city of Los Angeles. He will work with the council office on policies to ensure that LA's economic recovery from COVID-19 is equitable, inclusive, and supportive of small and local enterprises. 

Gregory is the founding partner of a global non-profit research institute, the Just Jobs Network, which advises governments on labor market policies. He is a PhD candidate in urban planning and development at USC’s Price School of Public Policy and a Fulbright-Hays Scholar. His writing has appeared in media outlets such as the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.
